A 26-year-old Winfield woman sustained minor injuries Saturday afternoon in a single-vehicle rollover accident on U.S. 77 Highway, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
Lena Turgeon was northbound on the highway just north of the intersection of 77 and 142nd Rd. The accident north of Winfield occurred around 2:50 p.m.
Turgeon lost control of the vehicle for an unknown reason and went off the roadway. Her white 2001 Honda CR-V struck an embankment, causing the vehicle to roll one time. It came to a rest on its top.
Turgeon was taken to William Newton Hospital in Winfield, according to the KHP report. She was treated for minor, non-life threatening injuries.
The woman was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
