The search is underway for William Newton Hospital’s next Chief Executive Officer.
The Winfield hospital’s board of trustees began taking applications on Oct. 7 for the position of CEO following Ben Quinton’s resignation effective Sept. 30.
To date, 42 applications have been received. according to a news release from WNH Wednesday. The board intends to close the application process Friday.
Joan Cales, who serves as chair for the five-member volunteer board, indicated that resumes for all qualified candidates are currently being reviewed by each board member. The next regular board meeting is scheduled for Oct. 27 and Cales says the board plans to narrow down the candidates and determine the next steps at that time.
The board is utilizing the most current compensation and benefit survey published by the Kansas Hospital Association to benchmark the wage scale for the CEO position.
