A local woman was arrested Friday morning following a minor injury accident that occurred at the intersection of Ninth and Main in Winfield, according to police.
70-year-old Joanna Denny, of Winfield, was booked into the Cowley County Jail for driving on a suspended license and no proof of insurance. She posted bond later the same day and was released.
Around 9:40 a.m., a 2019 Honda Odyssey, driven by 36-year-old Talia Scott, of Winfield, was legally stopped at the traffic light on Main at Ninth. She was in the northbound lanes.
Denny approached from behind in a 2002 Dodge Stratus and struck Scott’s vehicle. Both vehicles were damaged and Denny’s was towed from the scene, according to police in Winfield.
Possible injuries were reported at the scene, however, no one required transport to a hospital.
