A 31-year-old Ark City woman was injured Saturday morning in an accident involving a motorbike, according to local police.

Around 11:35 a.m., officers from the Arkansas City Police Department were dispatched to the 1100 block of North 1st Street in response to a report of an injury accident.

Upon arrival, officers found Nicole Marie Rosola sitting on the curb. Rosola exhibited significant injuries, including a head injury and injuries to her elbows, knees, and hands. She was unable to stand for EMS personnel and reported feeling lightheaded.

During the investigation, Rosola stated that she believed she lost control of her motorbike and admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages prior to operating the vehicle, according to a statement from police. The reporting party indicated they had heard what sounded like a lawn mower motor and, shortly thereafter, discovered Rosola unconscious in the roadway. (Continue story below.)
