A woman was injured Wednesday afternoon in a two vehicle accident on U.S. 77 highway south of Winfield.
Around 3:30 p.m., 23-year-old Kaylee Stiehl was south bound in the 20000 block of 77. Her black 2017 Jeep Cherokee collided with a 2017 white Ford Escape that was turning west onto Country Club Rd.
27-year-old Kayla Hennen was driving the Escape that turned into the path of the Jeep Cherokee, according to information provided by the Cowley County Sheriff’s Office.
Hennen was transported by personal vehicle to the hospital for treatment of injuries. An update on her condition was not immediately available.
The familiar intersection has been the site of many motor vehicle accidents over the years.
