Dillon James Chadwell, 38, of Winfield, KS, passed away peacefully June 15, 2026, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS.
Celebration of Life services will be held at 3 PM Saturday June 20th at the Arkansas City American Legion. Memorials in his name may be made out to the Shriners Children’s Hospital and left in the care of the Shelley Family Funeral Home.
Dillon was born on October 1, 1987, in Redlands, California to parents Gary & Jamie (Harden) Chadwell. He graduated from Dexter, KS High School and attended Cowley County Community College. He worked at Silgan Plastics for 15 years as a molding assistant. Dillon loved spending quality time with his family and friends, playing card games, and watching movies. He enjoyed camping, fishing the local waterholes, playing paintball and cruising in his F150.
Dillon is survived by his parents, sister Leslye Chadwell (James Halter), brother Matthew Chadwell, brother-in-law Christian McHugh, nephews Liam & Bradley and nieces Kayleigh & Brailey. He is preceded in death by his sister, Ashley McHugh.
