James Howard Webb, 56, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Thursday afternoon, April 2, 2026, at his home.
Born November 27, 1969, in Wichita, Kansas, he was the son of Everett Eugene “Gene” and Marjorie Lou (Provence) Webb. He was raised and received his education in Winfield, where he was an accomplished high school athlete in football, wrestling, and baseball. He graduated from Winfield High School in 1988 and remained a dedicated fan of Viking sports throughout his life. He attended Labette County Community College, receiving an Associate degree in Early Childhood Development with a Minor in Art.
Jimmy married Kellie Bond in 1992. The couple had four children and later divorced. He later married Melissa Brooks, the couple had two children and later divorced. Early in life, he worked as a manager for B&B Movie Theatre in both Winfield and El Dorado. He later worked for Aid-X Pest Control, Morton Buildings, and Sears. Throughout his life, he held various other manufacturing positions.
Jimmy enjoyed sports, art, swimming at the lake, playing pool, and listening to music. He was an avid animal lover. More than anything, he loved spending time with his kids and later, his grandkids and attending their sporting events.
His family includes his children, Kaela Bond of Winfield; Jessica Kollmorgen of Winfield; Jami Andrews and husband, Blake of Valley Center; Kelsie Kent and husband, Michael of Winfield; Jacob Brooks of Winfield; Brooke Webb of Winfield; his father Gene Webb of Douglass; his siblings, David Holmes and wife, LaDonna; Galen Holmes and wife, Margarita; Bobby Holmes and wife, Donnelle; Sheryl Hollingsworth; David Webb; Danny Webb; his grandchildren, Quincee, Brantley, Kayson, Carson, Harding, Remington, Kenleigh, Hadleigh, Jonas, Bennett; and his numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his mother, Jimmy was preceded in death by a son-in-law Kevin Kollmorgen and a brother-in-law Jess Hollingsworth.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. Interment will be held at Highland Cemetery at a later date.
A memorial has been established in Jimmy’s name for the Cowley County Humane Society. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
