Winfield Isle of Lights is ready for more visitors Thursday night after an unwanted visitor — a semi truck with trailer — went through Island Park Wednesday evening and damaged lights over the entry bridge.

The driver of the semi ignored volunteers when they tried to stop the truck from entering and drove away when it went through the loop and left — damaging the bridge display in the process. The damage was enough to close Isle of Lights early.

No injuries were reported.

Winfield Police Chief Robbie DeLong told Cowley Post Thursday morning authorities are working on identifying the truck and the driver.
