A car involved in fatality accident Feb. 18 in Winfield was not stolen and authorities do have a suspect regarding the driver who fled the scene.
According to Kansas Highway Patrol Trooper Chad Crittenden, this suspect has not yet been located as of Saturday. No ID of the suspect or description has been released by KHP.
On Feb. 18 an Ark City man, 27-year-old Nicolas Morris, was killed in a single-vehicle accident before midnight in Winfield when a 1995 Chevy Camaro he was a passenger in was eastbound on 33rd Avenue at Meadowlark Lane when it crossed the centerline and left the roadway to the left. The car then rolled and struck a telephone pole.

An Ark City man was killed in a single-vehicle accident before midnight Saturday in Winfield and the driver, who was not identified in the Kansas Highway Patrol crash report, left the scene.
According to KHP, a 1995 Chevy Camaro was eastbound on 33rd Avenue at Meadowlark Lane when it crossed the centerline and left the roadway to the left. The car then rolled and struck a telephone pole.
The passenger, 27-year-old Nicolas Morris, was identified as the man killed in the accident. KHP says no safety restraint was used.
The Winfield Police Department assisted KHP.
No additional information was provided. The identity of the driver is under investigation.
