The Southwestern College men’s basketball team, along with the Winfield Recreation Commission, recently hosted basketball camps sponsored by Elite Advertising and Pizza Ranch both of Ark City.
According to SC, Builders Men’s Basketball Coach Matt O’Brien said 80 campers participated in the camps, which also include a camp for sixth through ninth graders.
“Campers learned fundamentals such as shooting and ball-handling, but above that was a chance for them to have fun with kids their own age playing basketball,” O’Brien said.
