Meredith Hughes, a 17-year-old who was reported missing by her family on Tuesday, has been located.
According to an update from the Cowley County Sheriff’s Office Friday morning, she was located Thursday.
“Thank you to everyone who provided tips and information to assist in finding her,” the sheriff’s office said.

The Cowley County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in locating a missing teen.
According to the sheriff’s office Tuesday afternoon just before 2 p.m., 17-year-old Meredith Elanore Hughes has been reported missing by her family and was last seen Aug. 9 in rural Winfield. Authorities believe she may still be in Winfield or the El Dorado area.
