Caldwell-based Stock Exchange Bank is in the process of major renovations to the northside of its Ark City location.

Work should be complete by late spring or early summer of this year.

Chris Overall, president of the Ark City location at 401 N. Summit, said the bank has had major issues with the north portion of the building, which has been demolished in recent weeks. He described those problems as “too many to list.”

The project, he said, is also a result of considerable support for the bank since it opened its Ark City location in 2011. He said that support has been “nothing short of outstanding.”

The northside of the building will be built back and provide space for new offices and a conference room. Improvements are expected to make the building flow together more effectively.

Stock Exchange Bank is the oldest banking institution in Sumner County, having received its state charter in 1881.
