Benjamin Trimbath was taken into custody over the weekend, more than a week after police had begun looking for him in connection with a stabbing incident in Ark City.
The 19-year-old local man was booked into the Cowley County Jail Saturday afternoon on charges of aggravated battery and violation of a protective order. He also had bond revoked on a previous arrest in Cowley County.

Trimbath had been developed as a suspect in an investigation that began when Ark City Police were called to SCK Medical Center on Jan.29 for the report of a stabbing victim. An altercation had occurred at the victim’s residence and resulted in injuries that required medical treatment.
At the time of the incident, an 18-year-old female was also present at the residence. Trimbath was under bonding conditions that prohibited him from having contact with that woman.
