A person was killed and another was critically injured late Tuesday on the U.S. 77 bypass in east Ark City.
The accident occurred around 10 p.m. just over a mile north of Kansas Ave.
A northbound vehicle is said to have collided with a vehicle in the southbound lane, according to a report from the Kansas Highway Patrol. One fatality has been confirmed thus far, though names for anyone involved have not been released, so far.
Another person was said to have been transported to the hospital in critical condition. Check back with Cowley Post for more information as it becomes available.
