The Winfield Fire-EMS Department will hold its 8th annual Memorial Stair Climb on Thursday, Sept. 11, at the 77 Steps on the Southwestern College campus.
The come-and-go event runs from 5 to 9 a.m. and is free to attend. No registration is required. Faculty, staff, students, and members of the community are invited to participate.
The tribute honors those who gave their lives and those who answered the call on Sept. 11, 2001. Participants will carry a photo of a fallen hero and climb in remembrance of the 2,071 steps of the Twin Towers.
