ARK CITY – Andover led Arkansas City 7-0 with 52 seconds left in the first quarter when Friday night’s game was halted after the stadium lights went out and would not come back on. The Trojans had the ball, facing second-and-seven at their own 12-yard line when play was stopped.
The lights came back on for a brief time and the teams were about to return to the field. The lights then went off again. Evergy was called to the stadium to help determine what was causing the lighting issue.
The game will resume today (Saturday) at noon at Bulldog Stadium in Ark City. The remainder of the contest will not be broadcast on 103.3 FM KSOK, but we will provide a scoring update.
