Creekstone Farms in Ark City recently presented the Ark City Fire Department with a certificate of appreciation for the emergency services provided to the community and a donation of $2,500.
“Arkansas City Fire Department would like to recognize and thank the wonderful staff at Creekstone Farms,” ACFD Chief Chris Ledeker said via a news release from the department. “This gift will be put toward purchasing a fire extinguisher training prop.
“The training prop will help educate and train community members on the proper use of a fire extinguisher through live fire training.”
The training, Ledeker adds, is part of the Community Outreach initiative headed by Division Chief of Fire Prevention Chet Ranzau.
